The Halcyon Flare EXP with an E/O cord and 5.2Ah battery offers a potent combination of compact design, powerful illumination, and versatile connectivity. The 5.2-amp hour Li-ion battery provides substantial burn times—approximately 5 hours on high and 10 hours on low power. The key feature of this version is the E/O (Electrical/Optical) cord, which allows for wet-mateable connections. This means the light head can be disconnected underwater, or more commonly, the battery canister can simultaneously power compatible heated undergarment systems, a crucial benefit for cold-water CCR and long-duration technical divers. The Flare EXP features a new black light head and comes with an adjustable handle (note: it's not compatible with Halcyon's Goodman handle due to its size).
